Project Hawaii 2008 July 1-24, 2008 is a unique summer experience geared towards teens who are actively seeking to improve their college resumes through interactive hands on community service projects working with youth. This summer camp takes place in Hawaii and features cultural excursions and activities across 3 of the major island chains. Teens will also earn 200 service hours in the fields of communication, leadership skills, mentoring, working with homeless children, marketing and fundraising.
The teens will be paired with a homeless child for 10 days of summer camp programs. They will lead their camp buddy one-on-one throughout the scheduled events helping to build self-esteem and life skills. Teens will build life long relationships with others who share the same life goals while exploring the islands wonders. This 24 day adventure will include cultural tours including fire dance, hula, and an authentic Hawaiian Luau; adventure tours including snorkel cruises, zip line eco tour, surf lessons and more. This opportunity of a life time to make a difference in a homeless child's life, and earn community service certificates of 200 hours, is only open to 25 teens. Our group is small for the individual attention and first class experiences. Cost for this all inclusive adventure tour is $6,500.00, early discounts available, sibling discounts, and refer discounts up to $1,750.00 are available for those who wish to participate in that program. There is also a 7-day island cruise post tour for those who wish to see the islands in a whole different experience. This is open to the first 10 who wish to apply. Please contact us for more information and details at HelpingHands@ChristmasWishProgram.org up to 50% of your tuition is also tax deductible as a donation to the nonprofit organization we partner with.
